Caption: Moments before I took this shot my cheap Nikon to Canon lens adapter snapped in half and I very nearly lost a super-expensive rental lens. Fortunately I was able to grab it before it went crashing to the ground. So this shot isn’t composed the way I really wanted it to as I was desperately holding camera and lens awkwardly in position while aboard a wobbly boom lift. This is why the left side of the frame is annoyingly out of focus.
The 4000 square feet of beautiful patterned shade canopy, created by the Shady Lady team (Bunnie Reiss, Abi Kelly, and Carmel Dunlap), is clearly visible from this angle.
