Past the fluorescent anomie of London Bridge railway station, through a non-descript door in the wall, lay an extraordinary world. The Shunt Lounge, site of countless art, theatre and performance events.

The venue had an unexpected reprieve in early 2010, after a formal shutdown in late 2009 for station redevelopment.

Sadly the momentum never quite resumed, but through to mid 2010 there were some fantastic and beautiful events. And I was lucky enough to be able to hold a photographic workshop, Slow Shutter, in May.

Then unexpectedly the axe fell in late June.
